Sunrise Lavender Farm Not the Dream But The Reality

Let me first say, WHEW!!! its been a lot of hard work on the part of Benita and myself over the past two years. It's one thing having a dream and another making it come true. Things like patience, steadfastness, trust, $$$$, aches and pains were very much the norm.

It reminds me when I decided to go to start my own home repair business, Handyman Vernon bc. I had a Tremendous amount of excitement and enthusiasm ... for the first few months and then the realization if I do not work my family does not eat. Developing the farm has been a little like that - the dream - the cost - the work and waiting.

We put in the hours, $$ and effort and 3 years later we are Sunrise Lavender Farm open to the public, July 1, 2023. The race is not finished, but we are enjoying the win. We do not have all the answers, but learning something new everyday. Struggling at times, but being encouraged to continue to build through the wonderful experiences with guest at the farm. This may be the best part, meeting great people.

I am listening and watching people and their interactions and experiences with us on the farm. I am thinking about next year and hw to make it an even fuller experience. Lavender is great, let's not forget that, but its a vehicle to great experiences with great people. That's how I feel today.
